Kate Hudson And Lance Armstrong Split

Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong called it quits this weekend after a three-month romance that went public when they were spotted in Austin, Texas in mid-May, exclusively reports. "There was no drama or ugliness – They just decided to end things," a source close to the couple tells Us. "There is no hatred, just sadness."

The pair quickly became inseparable with sightings of them in Austin, New York and Los Angeles – though both dodged questions about their relationship. In the short time they were together, the 29-year-old actress was seen with the 36-year-old cyclist at many of his races and events, including his three-day Lance Armstrong Livestrong Summit in Columbus, Ohio this past weekend.

It was at the conference that Kate and Lance decided to go their separate ways, a source tells Us. Each had introduced the other to family. Kate's mom Goldie Hawn gave what seemed to be her approval at a July 1 lunch at The Ivy at the Shore. Also, Kate's four-year-old son Ryder went to a Father's Day brunch with Kate — and dad Chris Robinson – in June.

Kevin Federline Chats A Little About Life At the Golf Course

In his first public appearance since he was granted sole custody of his two sons with Britney Spears earlier this month, Kevin Federline hit the links Tuesday.

Asked how he is doing these days, the single dad told PEOPLE: "Been having a good summer, I can't complain." Kevin, 30, who spoke to PEOPLE at skateboarder Ryan Sheckler's X Games Celebrity Skins Classic, outside L.A., said he's been balancing career and parenting. "I've worked here and there a little bit," he said. "Definitely staying at home with the family."

As for how sons Jayden James, 1 1/2, and Sean Preston, 2 1/2, are doing, Kevin said, "They're good." He was tight-lipped, however, when it came to Britney or how he's moved on from their court battle. A July 18 agreement ended the nearly two-year case, with Kevin retaining sole custody of the boys, and his spousal support being bumped up to $20,000 from $15,000. "I'm not here to talk about that," he said.

Kevin, who played the Trump National Golf Club course with a friend, wore baggy shorts and sneakers, smoked cigarettes off the golf course, drank iced coffee, and drove his own golf cart. He took practice shots on the driving range before the game, but both of his shots on Hole in One competition missed.

"I tried to warm up before I got here, but..." Kevin laughed. "It's going to be one of those up-and-down days. We'll have to see how it goes." He also said on the red carpet, with a smile, that his children know when their father is at play. "They know when daddy's golfing," he said.

Kevin was mum about his future work plans. His last rap CD, Playing with Fire, came out in 2006. The musician said he's still a hip-hop fan. "I don't know, I'm going to make everybody wait on that," Kevin said. "I'm not revealing any work strategy right now."

Faith Hill Singing NFL Theme Song Again

Country superstar, Faith Hill has been tapped again to perform "Waiting All Day For Sunday Night," the opening theme for NBC's Sunday Night Football, beginning with the first regular season game on September 7. "What a thrill it was to be invited back this year," the country singer said in a statement. "I'm a huge football fan and I love being part of the Sunday Night Football family." The song itself is set to the original Joan Jett song "I Hate Myself for Loving You" and was recorded by Faith in Nashville.

In addition to her theme-song duties, Faith will take part in a special – and humorous – ad campaign for the NFL. In the first spot, NFL players prepare snacks for Hill and her girlfriends. "The promo piece is one of the funniest things I have ever seen," the singer said. "Fans will be in for a real treat getting a glimpse of these guys in the kitchen. We had a blast" Faith is the first performer to be asked back to sing the NFL theme since Hank Williams Jr.

Revealed: The Real Reason Denise And Charlie Went To Court Recently

Denise Richards went too far when she falsely accused her ex, Charlie Sheen, of molesting their daughters - and now Charlie will move for full custody of the kids by charging that their mother is a liar.

Denise dragged Charlie into a Los Angeles courtroom early last week for a mysterious “emergency” child-custody hearing to screen videos of their girls, Sam and Lola, supposedly acting in strange and disturbing ways. Charlie’s lawyers - who got the “evidence” dismissed - presented their own videos of the girls acting normally at his house.

A source said, “Denise’s accusations were vile. She was basically trying to say Charlie [manipulated] the kids and acted inappropriately with them. It’s disgusting and totally untrue. Charlie is furious . . . Denise has really pushed it too far this time. “She came after Charlie because the ratings on her E! reality show [’It’s Complicated’] have tanked and they were threatening not to renew,” the source said.

“She thinks a court battle would be good for ratings so she wants all overnight visits with the girls ceased, and monitored visits with her nanny. She invited the media circus to the hearing and even wanted reporters in the judge’s chambers - which wasn’t allowed. It’s ridiculous.”

Charlie is said to be so furious, he’s “out to prove Denise’s lack of veracity and sue her in civil court for defamation. Then he’ll sue for child custody. “Sheen feels Richards has defamed him, especially after she denied sending [current wife] Brooke an e-mail in which she claims to want his sperm for another child.

Richards says the e-mail is a fake. Sheen claims he has the e-mail and is getting forensic computer geeks to verify its authenticity. Charlie has now been forced to take a stand and do what’s best for the girls,” our insider said.

The Dark Knight Continues To Rock The Box Office

The Batman adventure The Dark Knight, starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, shattered another box-office benchmark this weekend – reaching beyond the $300 million mark in a mere 10 days.

The movie grossed $75.6 million in its second weekend in theaters, bringing its North American box-office total to $314,245,000, Warner Bros. head of distribution Dan Fellman tells the Associated Press. The number breaks the record established by 2006's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, which hit $300 million after 16 days. Fellman says Dark Knight could conceivably reach the $400-million mark in about 18 days – placing it ahead of Shrek 2's 43-day record in 2004.

Hold on to your life preservers – The Dark Knight might also surpass 1997's Titanic as the highest-grossing film in U.S. history, according to Paul Dergarabedian, president of Media By Numbers. That sinking-ship saga, starring Leonardo Di Caprio, made $600,788,188 domestically.

Rounding out this weekend's top five at the box office were Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in Step Brothers, with an estimated $30 million; Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia!, $17.9 million; David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson in The X-Files: I Want to Believe, $10.2 million; and Brendan Fraser in Journey to the Center of the Earth, $9.4 million.

Britney And Kevin's Custody Settlement Done And Britney Gets VMA Nod

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's custody settlement was signed Friday by a judge, officially ending their nearly two-year custody battle. In the deal reached last week, Federline retained sole custody of Sean Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden James, 1 1/2. Britney – who is currently allowed two visits and one overnight per week – will get an additional sleepover by year's end, barring any setbacks.

"She's thrilled," the pop star's attorney Laura Wasser told PEOPLE. "To have more time with her kids has been her motivation to get well. In light of her outstanding conservatorship, she couldn't have asked for anything more."

Brit also agreed to increase Kevin's child support to $20,000 a month (a $5,000 increase) and pay off his $250,000 legal tab. Documents show the child support increase went into effect on July 15, and that Britney's father, who remains in legal control of her affairs until a July 31 hearing, approved of the settlement terms.

Legal experts say the former couple will undoubtedly return to court in the future, since custody settlements can always be modified.

And in other Britney news…

Despite last year's disaster at the MTV Video Music Awards, Britney has an invitation to return – from her fans. The pop star was nominated in online voting for best female video for her "Piece of Me" at the 2008 VMAs. The big question is whether Brit will make an appearance at show on Sept. 7 at Paramount studios in L.A. The singer will have to shake off her lackluster performance at the 2007 show in Las Vegas.

Guy Richie And Mariah Carey Both Deny Trouble In Their Marriages

All's well with the marriage of Guy Ritchie and Madonna, the film director tells PEOPLE – "as far as I'm aware of," he added with a smile. A relaxed and cheerful Guy, 39, joined the cast of his upcoming directorial effort RocknRolla on Thursday afternoon at the San Diego International Comic-Con.

Guy was joined by his film's costars Gerard Butler, Jeremy Piven and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges to show scenes and sign autographs, Guy also spoke about how being married to the pop icon – whom he referenced only as "my wife" – had allowed him to look at his hometown of London with fresh eyes.

After spending time with Madonna, 49, in New York City – where the two faced intense speculation about the status of their marriage and she is rehearsing for her upcoming Sticky & Sweet tour – Guy headed to Los Angeles. There, he attended Kabbalah services and dined with Robert Downey Jr., who's set to star as Sherlock Holmes in a movie Guy will direct.

Mariah Carey has spoken out to quash ongoing rumours of trouble in her marriage to Nick Cannon, declaring "life is beautiful". The couple wed in the Bahamas in April, after a whirlwind romance, but rumors of a rocky relationship began to surface earlier this month.

Rapper/actor Cannon has already dismissed the claims, declaring that marriage is "the best thing that ever happened to me.“ Mariah told, "(When I hear that) things are rocky and hazy and messed up... I'm like, 'Why would we have gotten married to do that?' People are going to say what they say, but what would be the purpose? I guess other people do those things for a purpose, but I don't know. I'm ecstatic, so be ecstatic with me! Be happy with me. Can we celebrate?"

Brooke Hogan Apologizes For False Allegations

Brooke Hogan issued an apology for making what she now calls false allegations that her father Hulk abused her mother. "I did it under significant pressure from my mother," Brooke, 20, tells PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. "It was only after I learned all the facts that I realized I made a big mistake in signing it."

Brooke released the statement after a tabloid reported that she had signed a legal affidavit accusing her father, whose real name is Terry Bollea, of verbally and physically abusing wife Linda during their marriage. Linda, 48, filed for divorce last November, and her attorney told PEOPLE it was going to be "war."

In her statement to PEOPLE, Brooke admits to signing the affidavit. But, according to her rep, she later regretted the decision and asked that it not be filed in court. (At this point, according to Hulk's attorney, no such document has been filed.)

Brooke's rep says: "Brooke Bollea is distressed at the latest efforts by mother Linda to fracture the family. This time they let leak out an old document that Brooke signed filled with exaggerations and fabrications about father Terry's behavior during the marriage. The months-old document was signed by Brooke at a time when she was upset with her father."

Brooke is now living with Hulk, 54, and not on speaking terms with her mother. "I love my mother, and hope to one day reconcile with her," Brooke says. "But using kids as pawns in a divorce is awful. Every day my mother resorts to this kind of behavior makes it that much harder for us to ever have a relationship again."

After a trip to the emergency room in Tennessee, country singer Mindy McCready entered rehab for undisclosed reasons, her rep told PEOPLE. "Mindy McCready did receive emergency care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center," says her rep. "Other issues made it prudent for her to seek longer-term and broader-based treatment.” The Nashville hospital confirmed the 32-year-old Mindy was admitted July 16.

The singer, who in April admitted she had a long-term relationship with Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens, has also entered rehab, the rep says. "To her credit, she has entered into an extended-care facility where she will receive the care needed," says her rep. "And for the moment we ask that everyone respect her privacy."

Mindy was jailed in 2007 after violating probation on a 2004 drug arrest. In a recent YouTube video she issued a message to fans: "I miss you guys so much and I can't wait to see you."

Christian Bale Releases Statement After Arrest In London Tuesday

Christian Bale's attorneys released a statement Tuesday denying assault allegations that led to the actor's arrest in London:

"Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister," the star's lawyers said in the statement. "Mr. Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police. At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale."

Christian, 34, was arrested in the Belgravia precinct station on Tuesday for a Sunday incident in which he allegedly lashed out at his mother, Jenny, 61, and sister Sharon, 40, at London's Dorchester Hotel. He was staying at the hotel before Monday's U.K. premiere of The Dark Knight. Christian was released later Tuesday with a 10-man police escort, in a blacked-out silver Mercedes people carrier. Christian is to return to police in September, pending further inquiry, a police spokesperson tells PEOPLE. It is a policy in England to arrest a suspect before questioning him in connection to a possible crime. Christian has not been formally charged. He is scheduled to be in Barcelona on Thursday for the record-breaking film's Spanish-language premiere.
