Remembering Anna Nicole One Year Later

On the one-year anniversary of Anna Nicole Smith's tragic death, her longtime companion Howard K. Stern has established a new charitable foundation in her and her late son's honor. The Anna Nicole and Daniel Wayne Smith Charitable Foundation "will benefit charitable causes that Anna Nicole supported during her life: children, the elderly, and the treatment and cure of AIDS," Stern tells Entertainment Tonight. "Hopefully it will grow, help more people each year, and eventually be headed by her daughter Dannielynn," he adds.

Howard says all donations through February, 2008, will benefit a charity in the Bahamas "for underprivileged and at risk youths that Anna Nicole wanted to help." Larry Birkhead and Dannielynn recently visited the grave sites of Anna Nicole and Daniel. "It's tough," Larry says of Anna Nicole's death. "Even though [Dannielynn] doesn't understand, it was important for us to come. One day I can tell her that we went to visit her mom."
