Here's What To Expect On TV For The New Year

Here are some of the winter schedules. Because of the writer's strike the schedules will have a lot of filler to take up the slack.

CBS’ Primetime schedule for January and February 2008:

GAME SHOWS, POPULAR REALITY SERIES, NEWS MAGAZINES, THE SEASON PREMIERES OF TWO RETURNING SCRIPTED PROGRAMS, AND THE DEBUT OF A NEW COMEDY JOIN CBS'S PRIMETIME SCHEDULE IN JANUARY AND FEBRUARY

*Reality TV gets: "Survivor 16" , The First Ever Winter Edition of "Big Brother"
*Game Show TV gets: "Power of 10," Hosted by Drew Carey
*The news magazine show: "48 Hours Mystery"
*Comedy will still be around with the new show: "The Captain," and the Third Season of "The New Adventures of Old Christine".
*And "Jericho" returns.

CBS will continue to air rebroadcasts of its popular comedies and dramas in their regular time periods including HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, TWO AND A HALF MEN and CSI: MIAMI on Monday; NCIS on Tuesday; CRIMINAL MINDS and CSI: NY on Wednesday; CSI and WITHOUT A TRACE on Thursday; GHOST WHISPERER, MOONLIGHT and NUMB3RS on Friday; and COLD CASE and SHARK on Sunday.

CBS has also completed production on episodes of the game show DO YOU TRUST ME. A scheduling announcement will be made at a later date.

NBC's Primetime schedule for January and February 2008:
'LAW & ORDER' AND 'LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT' RETURN TO NBC LINEUP ON WEDNESDAYS IN EARLY JANUARY

"Law & Order" Resumes with Two-hour Season Premiere and Will Be Joined by "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" One Week Later. Rumor is that the original series will have new episodes and the Criminal Intent series will have episodes that have been airing on USA Network to air. They will probably also play repeats of some of their top shows.

FOX will do alright because of American Idol’s January return and ABC has not released their plan.
