Some Gossip Bits... Country Style

Keith Urban escaped injury Monday, (October 1), while driving his motorcycle near his home near Sydney, Australia. Keith thought he was being followed by a photographer on another motorcycle when he was forced to drop his motorcycle and skid along a concrete gutter, according to Australian media reports. In a statement released by his publicist, Urban said, "Today's incident was the result of one person's desire to do his job and my desire to maintain my privacy. Some have already attempted to inflate the facts, but the reality is this: While out riding to an AA meeting, a time when my privacy is especially important to me, I felt myself being pursued. I sped up, and in an effort to elude an oncoming car which was making an illegal U-turn, saw no choice but to drop my bike. In actual fact, my pursuer came to my assistance, without taking photos, and helped me from the road. I returned home, got my car and continued on my way."

After almost a year of back-and-forth allegations, Sara Evans and Craig Schelske were granted a divorce Friday (September 28) by a judge in Hickman County, Tennessee. Attorneys representing Sara and Craig told 21st Judicial District Chancery Court Judge Robert E. Lee Davis that an agreement was reached that includes a joint custody plan for the couple's three children and a division of all marital assets. The 21st Judicial District includes Williamson County, where the couple lived and where Sara filed for divorce on October 12, 2006. Since then, court documents filed on behalf of Sara and Craig have included a series of allegations, including adultery. Their attorneys have submitted a court document stating that their clients will "have no further comment regarding any allegations of fault or misconduct alleged by either party." Sara and Craig were married in 1993.
