Charlie Sheen's Fiance Brooke Talks To People About Love

With Charlie Sheen's battle against his ex-wife Denise Richards hitting an all time low, his fiancée Brooke Mueller says they are trying to stay positive. "We just focus on our love and we have faith in the truth – and we know that will come out," Brooke told PEOPLE Thursday at the opening of the James Perse store in Beverly Hills. "We'd like to get away from it all, and we feel sometimes that we would love a vacation," Brooke said about herself and the Two and a Half Men star, to whom she's been engaged since July. "But his work schedule doesn't really permit it right now." As for how Brooke and Charlie are coping with the legal battle, she says, "Just focusing on our love, and we have faith in what we know is true ... We're focused on our relationship and the kids." Charlie’s two children with ex-Denise are Sam, 3, and Lola, 2.

When it comes to socializing, Brooke says, "Couples outings are few and far between. But we do go out on dates with Rebecca [Gayheart] and Eric [Dane], those are close friends of ours." Brooke is a real-estate investor who was introduced to Sheen by Rebecca Gayheart in 2006, after Denise filed for divorce from Charlie. Asked about their wedding plans, Brooke said, "Right now we haven't decided to take on any big projects at this point ... Hopefully when things calm down, we'll be able to focus a little bit more on that." As for Brooke's next project? Learning to cook, she said. "I'm hearing that it helps you enjoy the moment and it's some sort of meditation," she said. "We could use that."
