George Clooney And Girlfriend Injured In Motorcycle Accident

George Clooney and girlfriend Sarah Larson were treated at the hospital Friday for injuries after the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a car in New Jersey. George suffered a hairline fracture of a rib and road rash, and Sarah suffered a broken foot, his rep says. They were treated at Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, N.J., and released.

According to police, George was driving his Harley-Davidson north on Boulevard East in Weehawken, N.J., at 3:30 p.m. when he collided with a 1999 Mazda Millenia that allegedly attempted to make a right turn from the left lane. Sarah appeared to have cuts on her face and an injury to her foot and was taken away by ambulance, says Weehawken police Sgt. Sean Kelly. George drove away from the scene on his motorcycle, Kelly says, and apparently met Sarah at the hospital. The Mazda driver, identified as Albert Sciancaledore of Weehawken, was uninjured.

George told police he was driving in the right lane when the other driver sped up to try and pass him before making the right turn, according to Kelly. But Sciancaledore told police it was George who was trying to pass cars in the right lane, Kelly says. The crash remains under investigation.
