Tanya Tucker Defends Britney Spears

Tanya Tucker can understand what Britney Spears is going through. She has been a teen star, had bad press and been to rehab. She is also a mom. Tamya has lived the ups and downs of stardom and says, "The media should leave Britney alone and let her spend some quality time with her family, children and those that truly love her, but they can't keep beating her up with the 'you gotta straighten up' stick." Tanya the former bad girls of country music as she was called continued to say, "In time Britney will learn that all those friends that were always around and living off her stardom, were really never friends at all." Tanya who has sold more than 10 million records went through rehab herself and remembers those bad times. "When I lived in Los Angeles in the '80's I had a ton of so-called friends that today are nowhere around. Some are dead, and to be honest, I can't remember any of their names." Tanya who is mother to daughters, Presley 17, Layla 7 and son, Grayson 15 is a true survivor the ups and downs of fame. Tanya gave one last piece of advice to Britney: "Right now she needs something different than what money, fame or fans can give her. She needs gentle guidance from only those who she respects and knows they really love her for her."
