No New Posts For A While Longer

I have gotten a few messages asking when or if I will ever start blogging again. I want to, but life at the moment is making it too difficult. I do not make any money doing it. I only did it for fun. I might consider starting again after the new year, but that is the earliest to expect new posts. Thank you for your interest and concern.

God Bless and Happy Holidays. MrsJREwing

Life Is Crazy These Days

I am so sorry for the lack of posts. I was hoping life would calm down some and I could focus on the blog more. Sadly, it has not. I am going to see my favorite college football team play this weekend and as a good wife I am trying to get everything ready to leave the hubby home for the first time without me since we married. We also have a dog who had his manhood removed about 2 weeks ago and he has been extra work with the cone thing he had to wear. (That gets removed while I am away.) So life is busy. I am also expecting company soon and holidays are fast approching.

As for the blogs future. I am hoping to get back into it hard core, but life seems to be making other plans. Please give me a week or so and check back to see if I have started posting again. I really hope you will not hate me for taking this break.

God Bless and thanks!

Lynne Spears Talks About Learning Of Jamie Lynn's Pregnancy At 16

In addition to discussing daughter Britney's disintegration, Lynne Spears also opened up on Wednesday's Today show about daughter Jamie Lynn getting pregnant at 16. Lynne recalled how she was planning to go out for lunch when Jamie Lynn called and told her to come home.

At home, Lynne found her daughter's boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, who avoided eye contact. Jamie Lynn then handed her mother a note and told her to go into her bedroom to read it. "It said she was pregnant and everything was going to be OK. She was going to raise it," Lynne told Meredith Vieira. "I thought it was a joke I was waiting for the punch line," Lynne added. "I was in shock. I think I was just truly in shock, and then I started to cry. And she started consoling me at that point."

Lynne -- who sold the story to OK! for $1 million -- added that she blamed herself for her children's personal dramas. "As a mother, don’t we always blame ourselves?" she said. "I took a lot of the blame. I took all the blame. The personality I have, it's always my fault."

Lynne told Al Roker in a later segment, "A mother is as happy as her most unhappy child. You kind of gravitate toward the one who needs you the most at that time ... It's a balancing act. Maybe I haven't done it as best as I could, but all I ever tell you is I tried." Referencing her book Through the Storm, Roker asked, "Are you through the storm?" "Oh, yes," Lynne said. "We’re through the storm and we're looking at the sunshine right now."

The Mags This Week

Jessica Simpson's Album Tops The Country Charts

Despite a string of shaky live performances, fans seemed to have embraced Jessica Simpson's transition to country music. Do You Know has debuted atop Billboard's country chart. The album -- which sold 65,000 copies since coming out last week -- ranked No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200. Jessica's first single, "Come on Over," hit No. 18 on the Hot Country Songs list last month.

Do You Know is Jessica's sixth album. Her previous effort, A Public Affair, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2006 with 101,000 albums sold. 2004's In This Skin was her highest ranking album, reaching No. 2 on the charts.

Nicole Richie Talks Giving Harlow A Sibling And More

Could Harlow Madden have a little brother or sister soon? "If it happens, it happens," Nicole Richie told Extra Monday. She said she and Joel Madden are "just enjoying every day" raising eight-month-old daughter Harlow. "She is pulling herself up standing ... we don't have to burp her anymore," Nicole said. She's even beginning to form her first words. "She says 'mama' and 'dada,'" Joel said. "She says 'dada' when she wants to play. Wants to laugh. And 'mama' is everything else. When we walk into a place, she waves to everyone."

Nicole said she doesn't try to insulate Harlow from fame. "My priority is to make her unaware. She's eight months now. I can't put her in the infant seat and cover her. She'd definitely know something's going on ... she wants to experience life and, as a mother, that's important."

Nicole and Joel are also getting more involved in children's charity work. (The pair started the Richie-Madden Children's Foundation to help needy mothers last November.)
Their new initiative: Encouraging people to text "child" to 9-0999 ($5 will be donated to a children’s charity they sponsor). Being a parent, Joel said, "opens your eyes. Every child I look at reminds me of my child. And every mother I see reminds me of Nicole."

MTV Hit Show Total Request Live (TRL) Says Goodbye In November

Total Request Live has been canceled after ten years, MTV confirmed on Monday. "We want to close this era of TRL in a big celebratory way, and 10 is a great number," Dave Sirulnick, executive producer of TRL told the Associated Press. "This feels like the right time and let's celebrate it and let's reward it." He added "Let's let it have a little bit of a rest for a minute. Been working hard for 10 years!"

The music video show will wrap in a two-hour special on a Saturday in November.
TRL first debuted in September 1998. The show peaked in 1999 with 757,000 viewers tuning in daily, according to Nielsen Media Research, the AP reported.

For the finale, expect to see TRL favorites including former VJ Carson Daly. "Folks who helped make TRL what is, whether that's Justin, and his guys in N' Sync, the Backstreet Boys, Britney, Eminem - I think we would love to see all of them here," Sirulnick told the AP.

"I'm going to miss TRL," rapper Eminem said in a statement. "Where else will I be able to start feuds, defend my honor vigorously and act like an angry teenager on national TV? Oh wait ... The VMAs!"

Kate Hudson Talks Dating Dos And Don'ts

Trying to sweep Kate Hudson off her feet? Try taking her out for miniature golf – but whatever you do, don't be boring. The actress shared some of her best and worst dating moments Monday at a press conference for her new comedy, My Best Friend's Girl, opening Sept. 19. "One date, I just left before we even ordered food because the guy was just so deeply boring that it was like, 'I'm going to just save us from all of this and just leave,' " said Kate, 29, adding that her date "was in banking. I'm not kidding."

Instead, the actress suggests other ways to get her motor running. "I like to be surprised [with] something fun or something different, like racing cars ... or miniature golf or something," Kate told PEOPLE later at her film's premiere. "If you're going to go on a date, do it right, you know?"

Kate's romantic life has been star-studded – she was married to Chris Robinson and has been involved with Owen Wilson and Lance Armstrong. But after a tough day on the job, the actress says it's her family (including son Ryder, 4) and friends that keep her grounded. "In order to deal with [everything], I just once again go back to my life at home with my family, my son and my friends," she said. "It makes everything okay. It makes everything feel more balanced."
